Vacations in Turkey: Caravan through Turkey. Join us as we caravan through Turkey and Sail the Mediterranean Sea! Have you ever thought about following the path of the ancient silk road? This tour will take us through the crossroads of Europe and Asia along the silk road, to the ancient land of underground cave sites and silk road rest stops, called caravansaria's. We journey through the center of Turkey in the region called Cappadocia, and make our way south to the Mediterranean Sea. In Antalya, we hop aboard a Turkish motorsailer called a gulet and sail along the coast to explore ancient Lycian ruins and sunken cities. As we leave the boat, we journey north to the world famous Roman city of Ephesus and mountain villages. One of our most enjoyable days will be a visit to the local farmers market and a cooking class with Asli and her family to learn the secrets of the wonderful Turkish food we have been enjoying. This tour is one of our all inclusive vacations in Turkey. You can relax and enjoy yourself as all arrangements will be handled by our U.S. agent assistant who travels with you and the local guides who take care of all your needs. Cappadocia Turkey: We'll explore Cappadocia with its moonlike landscapes and underground cities. Wander through the century's old churches, monasteries, and houses carved in the rocks. Maybe you'll opt for a hot air balloon ride at sunrise!
Motorsailer Gulets have 6-8 cabins each with private bath. During the day there are plenty of chances to swim and snorkel in the clear blue waters or explore the natural and historical sites along the way. All the boats are government approved with fully qualified captains. No experience of boats is required. All you need to do is relax! We'll wander our way through Butterfly Valley, Byzantine ruins, sunken cities, fishing villages, and Lycian rock tombs. 15 DAYS of caravaning through some of the most beautiful sites in the WORLD!
